So, we've found out that our President and his administration have been lying to us this whole time. What else is new?

The only question here is, what are the American people going to do about it? We have several options available to us. We could call for impeachment, but that would only leave our country in the hand of a more malicious man. I have a feeling that while "W" is an idiot, he at least believes that the people around him are honest, and that they are telling him to say things that are correct and accurate. He should, however, take enough personal responsiblity to look at intelligence reports for himself before he makes claims that are unfounded, or even potentially unfounded. It doesn't matter who you try to point the finger at, George, ultimately you need to double-check your speeches for accuracy. After all, there is only one person who can be held accountable for anything you say, and ultimately it is you. Obviously, the people surrounding you aren't as honest as you had thought. You also said in one of your speeches that this war was not about oil, and yet the U.S. and Brittan have now seized control of Iraq's oil assets and will be using them as colatoral for loans, and I wonder, indeed, what banks are going to be benefitting from these loans? What happened to the trust fund idea? That at least would have made it look like you weren't trying to suck Iraq dry (although I'm sure your people would have found a way). The short-sightedness of most politicians amuses me highly. Why do they keep making assertions that they should know that people are going to check on? It's obviously going to bite them on the ass sooner or later. In this case it probably happened a little quicker then the adminisration had planned, but they should have realized that it was going to come, and when the national news prints the article about the same lie being used in the SOTU address, being stricken from an October speech, without any change in the information between the two, the shit is really going to hit the fan. Our President is in trouble, the only question is, how much trouble? How much will this destroy his chances for re-election? Or will his people fix this one as well? The technology is now available, and almost untraceable, with which elections could be arranged for a long time.
