There were guest poets in from Arkansas last night. They were wonderful, and Clayton Scott was amoung them, so that made it even more fun. That guy is always happy at readings, and is generally a joy to watch perform and to talk to after readings. I really love the honesty of his performance, that is something that I think most slam poets are sadly lacking.

There was one poet who came through town a few months ago, whos name I don't remember. He compeated in a couple of our slams, and he was damn good. The only problem was, there was at least one poem of his that talked about how some people only write poetry for slam scores, and then went on to appraise his abilities as a slam poet. This came across as not only insincere, but egomaniacle as well. He didn't suck, but he seemed completely full of shit, not to mention himself. His other poems for the most part, the ones in which he was the most honest, were far better.

People from porn sites (it would seem), have been signing my guestbook lately, yet again. The first time this happened was kind of novel, but it's gotten to the point of being silly. I will shortly be removing these entries. There are a couple of reasons for this. The first is that there are quite a few people who read this thing who are rather young and probably wouldn't be happy seeing such things on my site. The second reason is the same one primarily that made me take my links to Stile Project down. I refuse to endorse pay sites, without some sort of compensation. Which of course, would be completely illegal of me to recieve, since technically, Andrew owns the servers and the domain that I keep this diary on, therefor if anyone recieved compensation it would have to be him. Since I have no indication of him recieving such things, these links must go away.
