Donnell's Dilemma 2002-08-07
We fall all over ourselves Seeking the answers to questions That we don't have the courage to ask About ourselves About each other Exploring mysteries That our minds alone can never figure out No matter how many clues Are put down on the table in front of us Pretending at intelligence Like children in fedoras And over-sized bathrobes That we pretend are trenchcoats Trying to be self-reliant But always having others there Waiting to catch you Are we pathetic? Maybe But I don't think any of us would care Even if we knew Sometimes the chase Really is all the thrill At least, When it comes To truth ~Matt Magus
